About the Artist:
Soviet Ukrainian painter. Member of the USSR Union of Artists. He was born on February 11, 1911 in Shargorod, Kamenets-Podolsky district (Vinnitsa region). He graduated from the Kiev Art Institute (1941). Teachers by specialty – T. Fraerman, A. Cherkassky, P. Volokidin, F. Krichevsky. He worked in the easel painting industry. Master of historical and genre painting, landscape and still life. He took part in all-Union exhibitions, since 1944. Major works: portrait of his wife (1945); portrait of SA Kolpak (1958); “Still life. Pivony “(1958); “Kolkhoz Amateur Activities” (1960) and others. Participated in regional and republican exhibitions since 1945. The artist’s paintings are presented in many public and private collections in Ukraine and abroad. The artist’s works were sold at auctions of Ukraine, are in many public and private collections in Ukraine and abroad. Are in constant demand. He passed away in 1994.
