Hermann Wegelin was a German painter who was born in 1845 in Cologne, Germany. There are only a very limited number of works by the artist. So far, no exact biographical data could be found, but it is certain that he was on study trips to Italy and also lived there. Many painters who worked in Italy also worked in Munich or Austria. His painting appeals to the Italian romanticism mixed with the German school of painting.
