About the Artist:
Since 1902 Ivan Mikhailovich Grabovski studied at the IAH in St. Petersburg with Ilya Repin and P.P. Chistyakov. In 1909 he received the title of artist for his painting “Snow Fallen”. He worked as a landscape painter, marinist, genre painter. Took part in exhibitions of the Association of Independents, Society of Kuindzhi. He was engaged in satirical graphics, collaborated in magazines “Machine Gun”, “Niva”, “Lukomorye”, “Sun of Russia”.
