About the Artist:
Fleischmann, son of lithographer Johann Georg Fleischmann, attended the Royal School of Applied Arts Nuremberg after his first lesson with his father in 1869-1873 under August von Kreling, Karl Jäger, Friedrich Wanderer and Karl Raupp. From 1873 onwards, he was teaching drawings after ancient times, and from 1890 to 1920, he was professor of figurative drawing. In addition to landscapes, he created portraits, interiors and still lifes. Fleischmann was a member of the Confederation of Franconian artists and the Nuremberg art association and honorary member of the Nuremberg art society.
