Bernhard Girscher was a German painter who was born in 1822. Several works by the artist have been sold at auction houses. He mainly painted mountain landscapes from the Alps. Before becoming an artist he was a doctor. In 1848 he was a student of Ernst Resch in Breslau and August Zimmermann in Munich. 1854 he was living and working in Berlin. Since 1856 he participated at the Berlin Academic Exhibition.
